| Texas holdem no limits |
Texas Hold'em is a great online poker game that offers yet another playing variation for those who enjoy poker in all its forms. Online casino lovers should be able to find this game at any good quality online casino. The no limits version of the game differs from the limits game so be sure to check out the rules before you play at an online casino.
Betting in Texas holdem no limits is a bit different than most traditional gambling games. Poker, unlike other casino games, where you are required to place bets against the house, allows you to pit your skill and talent against other players. In Hold Em Poker there are a number of different rounds of betting where players compete for the pot. The betting may vary based on the round or the type of game you play.
In most games, to start the betting you must "ante" something (amount varies by game limit or game type), just to receive your initial set of cards. In Holdem games instead of an "ante" selected players are required to place bets before they see their cards. These are called blinds, probably because they are made when a player can't see his cards. After the Blinds are placed, players match their contribution per round of play and collective bets are placed into the pot in the middle of the table. At the end of the hand, the highest hand (that hasn't folded) wins the pot.
No limit Texas holdem rules are the same as fixed limit Texas hold'em rules, with the exception that there is no maximum bet. A player may bet or raise any amount they wish, up to the amount they have in front of them. There are still minimum bets, however. If you're playing 10-20 no limit Texas holdem, for example, then you have to bet at least 10 dollars in the first two rounds, and at least 20 dollars in the latter two rounds. In addition, all bets and raises must be greater than or equal to the previous bet or raise, with the exception of a player that is raising all in. If a player does raise all in, and that bet is not greater than or equal to the previous raise, then the door is not opened for the original raiser to re-raise. For example, if Player A bets 30 dollars, Player B calls, and Player C raises all in for a total less than 60 dollars, Player A would not be able to re-raise that bet. In some casinos, when playing no limit, the number of raises per betting round are unlimited. |
